As an award-winning student from the Western Academy of Photography, I was very eager to start my own business. Soon after graduation I became the sole owner and operator of Erin Ruff Photography. In addition to winning the award for "Best Colour Image of the Year", I have also won an award for the best portrait in Western Canada. I am young, energetic and my creativity brings new ideas to photography. My education and passion for photography allow me to be versatile in all aspects of this craft. With both a home and portable studio available, I am certainly able to meet your needs.

I am always excited to shoot commercial work. The challenges involved allow me to constantly learn and develop new techniques. It is especially motivating working with others (designers, stylists, talent, etc.) when you consider all the creative energy that surrounds a shoot. Research and planning prior to every shoot means that I am always prepared. I am extremely versatile and open to new ideas. Being young and keen allows me to bring new excitement to commercial photography.

Our wedding photos, more than five years on, still amaze me. Until Erin, I’d swear I wasn’t photogenic, but she made me think exactly the opposite. In fact, all her photos of the wedding party, family and guests reveal that we are all photogenic – with the right photographer: Erin. And, she did all this with a “mature” bride and groom!
We have used Erin as our photographer for our engagement, wedding, belly and family photos and always enjoy our time with her.
